CARE & MAINTENANCE |

• Spot clean only with a lightly damp cloth; do not submerge in water or machine wash
• Allow to air dry fully before storing contents
• Store in a cool, dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the paper and colour
• If the basket loses its shape, spray lightly with water and reshape by hand, then allow to dry fully
• Condition leather handles occasionally with a natural leather conditioner to maintain suppleness

ABOUT MIFUKO |

Mifuko is a Finnish design company founded in 2009 by Mari and Minna, two friends who studied Textile Art and Design together in Helsinki. The idea was born in a Nairobi market, where they encountered the skill of Kenyan artisans and set out to bring it to a wider audience. Today, Mifuko works with over 1,300 women artisans across Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana, combining Nordic design with traditional African craftsmanship to produce baskets, bags, and home décor sold in over 30 countries. The brand is a certified member of the World Fair Trade Organization and a Certified B Corporation, with fair wages, continuous orders, and community investment built into every piece. Each product carries the name of the artisan who made it.
