Mifuko is a Finnish design company founded in 2009 by Mari and Minna, two friends who studied Textile Art and Design together in Helsinki. The idea was born in a Nairobi market, where they encountered the skill of Kenyan artisans and set out to bring it to a wider audience. Today, Mifuko works with over 1,300 women artisans across Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana, combining Nordic design with traditional African craftsmanship to produce baskets, bags, and home décor sold in over 30 countries.
